Facial Feminization Surgery (FFS) Before and After Photographs

These before and after photographs of facial feminization surgery (FFS) demonstrate the effects that can be obtained with a type 3 brow bone reduction, orbital rim contouring, coronal brow lift, and feminizing reduction rhinoplasty.

Even when there is a relatively small brow bone projection, sometimes it is necessary to do a type 3 reduction.  Shaving alone (type 1) would have reduced her brow slightly, but the bone was so thin that the effect would have been barely visible.  On the contrary, there are some patients with significant brow prominences who are better suited for a type 1 reduction.
