Revision Facial Feminization Surgery with Implant Removal and Type 3 Brow Bone Reduction – Before and After Photos

This patient underwent revision FFS with brow implant removal, brow bone reduction (type 3), orbital contouring, and brow lift. This was one component of her overall facial feminization surgery. Additional information is provided below the photographs.

Facial Feminization Surgery (FFS) Before and After Photographs

These before and after photographs of revision facial feminization surgery (revision FFS) demonstrate the effects that can be obtained after revision brow surgery.

This patient previously had hard silicone implants placed by another surgeon at the junction between the middle forehead and the brow ridge. Presumably, the goal at the time of that operation was to camouflage the upper border of the brow ridge. This technique successfully blended the upper forehead to the lower forehead, but it did not feminize the transition from the brow ridge to the eyes. She continued to have deep-set eyes following this procedure.

A revision surgery was planned to enhance the patient’s forehead. During this operation, the silicone implants were removed and a type 3 brow bone reduction was performed. The implants that were removed are shown in the last image.

This operation dramatically feminized the upper third of her face. We are excited to continue to watch this patient heal!
