Facial Feminization Surgery – Before and After

This patient underwent the following procedures in one stage as part of Facial Feminization Surgery (FFS).

– Type 3 forehead reduction – This patient underwent a significant reduction in brow bone prominence. This is most visibly demonstrated in the lateral views. This procedure also enhanced the openness of the eyes, allowing more light to fall on them and reduce shadowing around them.
– Orbital contouring – The outcomes of the orbital contouring are most apparent in the three-quarter views, where the prominence above the eyes has significantly decreased.
– Coronal brow lift
– Genioplasty – T-shaped osteotomies – The chin reduction has created a softer, more tapered chin. This is most clearly seen in the front view, where the initially square chin is transformed into a rounder, softer contour.
– Jaw contouring
– Cheek implants – Cheek implants are most effectively visualized in the three-quarter views, revealing increased volume in the mid-portion of the face. Combined with the orbital contouring, this alters the facial proportions, resulting in a more feminine appearance.
– Fat transfer to superior and medial cheeks
– Rhinoplasty (Minor dorsal hump reduction, nasal osteotomies) – The changes are best seen in the front and downward-facing views.
