These before and after photographs of facial feminization surgery demonstrate the effects that can be obtained with a brow bone setback (type 3), orbital rim contouring, brow lift, surgical hairline lowering, and reduction feminizing rhinoplasty.

The brow bone setback is performed to reduce the degree of brow prominence. This creates a significantly more feminine appearance when seen from the side profile and from the front. The degree of reduction seen in this photograph is almost always only attainable by creating cuts in the frontal bone and moving the bone backwards. This type of surgery should be performed only by surgeons with significant training in the field.
