Facial Feminization Surgery (FFS) Before and After Photographs

These before and after photographs of facial feminization surgery (FFS) demonstrate the effects that can be obtained with a type 3 brow bone reduction.

This patient had a mildly prominent brow ridge that was reduced and modified to allow a more gentle forehead slope. The postoperative photo shows the result only 1 month out from surgery.

The brow bone reduction was performed in a manner that retained the natural curvature of the forehead and elevated the location of maximal projection.

Retaining a natural curvature to the forehead prevents the appearance of a flat forehead, which can sometimes be an obvious stigmata of forehead reduction surgery.

Elevating the maximal projection of the brow bone creates a more feminine and friendly appearance to the upper third of the face.

These before after photos of forehead feminization allow people to see what type of results can be obtained from a type 3 brow bone reduction.

Every person’s goals are different, so it is important to discuss your specific situation and expectations with your surgeon.
